Initially upon starting this project back in 2020, I was attempting to create my own version of The Burrow from Harry Potter. This is a project that over time I come back to and chip away at, and for many years I stopped working on it and thought about scrapping the project entirely, even though I had put so much work into it up to that point. After seeking some guidance from people close to me in the LGBTQ+ community on whether it would be ethical to continue working on this project, I got some really good advice. it opened up a really interesting dialogue about how art has a ripple effect and touches so much more than we could ever imagine. Art and inspiration are impactful. 

As a kid, I was super inspired by the Harry Potter movies. I loved the themes of love and friendship being one of the most powerful forces on earth and can help you overcome the greatest of obstacles. It's a story of the underdog. Aside from themes, the art style was something I was super drawn to. Everything seems to carry a uniqueness and life of it's own. I always wanted to be able to create things that seem to have a life of their own in that same way, being able to take something normal and make it weird and wacky in a way that makes sense and is visually pleasing.
As years have gone on, JK Rowling has shown the world her true nature. She is the antithesis of everything I stand for. I believe all people have the right to exist and thrive in this world.

Although this project started from the inspiration of The Burrow from Harry Potter, I have chosen to take it in a different direction from that and ultimately make it my own. So here is my Whimsical Stylized House!
